Sound Advice: Tudo Está Dito, by Bruno Capinan
Smooth, samba-styled rock music with a contemporary feel.

Brazilian-born singer-songwriter Bruno Capinan has been delivering his unique brand of Brazilian rhythms from his home base of Toronto for a while now.
A follow-up to his 2010 debut album Gozo, the 10-track Tudo Está Dito, featuring lyrics in Portuguese, mines elements of bossa and samba-styled rock music, adding a contemporary feel. Capinan is a poet and visual artist as well, and it shows—the project displays a rich, layered musical sensibility and a breathy romanticism. Smooth and soothing composition is the order of the day, as he interprets the traditional tropes of samba music through breezy vocal styling.
Recorded in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Portugal, and Toronto, this indie project is yet another example of how Toronto’s eclecticism informs the internationally born artists that live in it, and how traditional forms of music can take on a urbanized sensibility.
