Scene: Je Suis Charlie

People gathered at the French consulate to show solidarity with the victims of Wednesday's massacre in Paris, and to support free speech.

WHAT: Despite the cold, Torontonians and French expats rallied at the French consulate last night to condemn Wednesday’s attack in Paris and to show solidarity with the 12 people killed when gunmen stormed the offices of satirical French publication Charlie Hebdo. Around the world, people took to the streets, holding up pens and signs reading “Je suis Charlie” to denounce the violence and express their support for free speech.
