There will be service disruptions on two of the city’s four rapid-transit lines this weekend.
Line 1 (Yonge-University-Spadina) will be closed between Union and St. Andrew stations Saturday and Sunday due to ongoing construction on the platform at Union Station. Trains on the Yonge half of Line 1 will turn back north at Union; those on the University-Spadina side will terminate at St. Andrew. Wheel-Trans vehicles will be available for customers requiring accessible service between the two termini. Subway service will be back to normal on Monday, September 22 at 6 a.m.
Line 3 (Scarborough RT), meanwhile, will open late on Sunday. Scheduled track maintenance has pushed the line’s usual 9 a.m. start time back to 1 p.m. During the closure, shuttle buses will run between Kennedy and McCowan stations. Wheel-Trans buses will also be available.
