Trinity-Spadina Byelection: Here Are Your Candidates

Our interviews with the NDP, Green Party, and Liberal contenders.

T Sp

Today, Trinity-Spadina residents will once again head to the polls—this time, to elect a successor to Olivia Chow, who resigned her federal seat in March to run in Toronto’s mayoral election. Major candidates looking to fill her shoes include the NDP’s Joe Cressy, the Green Party’s Camille Labchuk, and the Liberal Party’s Adam Vaughan.

We sat down with each of them ahead of the byelection to discuss five important federal issues, including oilsands production in Alberta, federal support for cities, and electoral reform. (We did request an interview with Conservative candidate Benjamin Sharma, but received no reply.)

Here’s what they had to say:

Joe Cressy: New Democratic Party
