Scene: Woofing It Up at Woofstock

The dogs of summer descend on Woodbine Park for the annual barktacular poochfest.

WHERE: Woodbine Park (near Coxwell and Eastern avenues)

WHEN: Sunday, May 25

WHAT: Woofstock, the largest about-dogs, for-dogs outdoor festival in all of North America. Launched 11 years ago in the Distillery District, it later moved to St. Lawrence—and this year, it set up shop from May 24 to 25 in Woodbine Park in the Beaches, because it simply needed more space to accommodate the thousands of dog visitors and the prodigious amount of dog fun. Visitors of the canine and human varieties were treated to a variety of entertainments, including fashion shows, shows of co-ordination and dexterity, and something called “The Running of the Pugs” (which was no doubt fierce and competitive and all business).
