Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not to miss.

- A group of American hackers known as Team Digi7al (side note: are there seven of them? If there are seven of them, that is perhaps not the greatest name, as groups can change. And if the numeral doesn’t refer to how many of them there are, we find it unnecessarily ugly and confusing) pleaded guilty in Oklahoma to hacking into various computers—including some belonging to the Toronto Police Service. The Star reports that the men were apparently motivated by “a blend of anti-government politics, ego and boredom.”
- Today, a panel fell from a sign outside the Eaton Centre and hit a man. He suffered only “very minor” injuries, but it would obviously be better if the panel had not followed the lead of all that condo glass—and the pedestrian had escaped injuries of any kind.
- The Grid looks at why it is that a detached home in Toronto now costs “just shy of a cool million.” Author David Fleming notes that “a million dollars may seem extreme,” but adds that “quite a few people still consider living in this city worth every penny.” We certainly believe living in this city is worth every penny, but nevertheless wish not quite so many pennies were involved.
