WHERE: Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas Street West
WHEN: Friday, March 14
WHAT: The Hot Wheels Ultimate Track installation, which kicks off the Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge —a six-month-long, cross-national competition that invites children to construct innovative and ingenious tracks. The Ultimate Track is made up of over 1000 track pieces and connectors and measures over 625 feet. This particular giant, glorious track was not built by young people: it was produced by a Track Expert team composed of engineers, architects, a parent expert, and professionals known as “creative technologists.” We are not entirely sure how one would train to be a creative technologist, or what the field of creative technology involves, exactly, but we would like to train as one and enter the field if it means we could build giant tracks for tiny cars. The Ultimate Track will be at the AGO through March 16.
