Extra, Extra: Spadina Goes Hipster, More Rob Ford Documents, and a Puppy Goes Home
Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not to miss.

- The CBC is collecting examples of “traditional Spadina shops transforming for a new clientele” and including them in a section called “Spadina’s Hipster Makeover.” You know the section is about a neighbourhood becoming hipster-y, because it features an image of a bearded street sign.
- Because Rob Ford’s Toronto is indeed a topsy-turvy crazy town, Rob Ford has ended up citing Star reporter Robyn Doolittle’s book Crazy Town: The Rob Ford Story in his legal defence in a case involving the beating of Scott MacIntyre, his sister’s former partner. Apparently, this might not end up working in his favour. Also, more Rob Ford–related documents have just been released, and it’s always possible they might not end up working in his favour either.
- Some stories end happily, in that people who love their puppies and are suddenly and terribly separated from those puppies can sometimes be reunited with them thanks to thoughtful and street-smart Kijiji shoppers.
