- Last night, a local writer found herself in an unusual situation reminiscent of an ’80s romantic comedy/TVO show for kids: she was locked inside a department store when it closed for the night. She was eventually freed from the Bay at Yonge and Bloor by staff, and seems to have spent most of today trying to convince the media that she’s not tremendously interested in being interviewed about her experience.
- A conspiracy involving a police chief, police board members, political opponents, and journalists—this is not the topic of a new blockbuster movie, but something Doug Ford claims exists right now in Toronto.
- You might have noticed today that very suddenly the sun was blotted out, the sky disappeared, and everything everywhere became nothing but snow. You would have taken particular notice of this if you happened to be on Highway 400 south of Barrie this morning: almost a hundred cars were involved in a colossal pileup.
