Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart React to Mayor Rob Ford’s Crack Admission

For the second night in a row, Jon Stewart tore a strip off Rob Ford—but this time Stephen Colbert was in on it, too.

Mayor Rob Ford has made The Daily Show a couple of times since the beginning of his crack scandal in May, but Tuesday’s surprise confession was enough to propel him onto The Colbert Report as well.

Jon Stewart’s bit, embedded above, is similar to Monday’s in a lot of respects (yes, the last time Ford was on the The Daily Show was just two days ago, which is a real indication of how much this story has broken out in the international press), but it ends on a more serious note. “Mayor Ford’s a lot of fun to ridicule,” Stewart says. “But my guess is, not a lot of fun to eulogize. And that’s where this thing’s headed.”

Colbert’s treatment of the story is a lot wackier, as might be expected. It’s embedded below.
