Extra, Extra: TTC Alarms, Municipal Bankruptcy, and Unwanted Doughnuts
Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.
- The TTC has released another of its famous educational videos. This time: how to use those passenger alarms on subway trains—you know, the ones thousands of people misuse every year. Pay close attention.
- And speaking of videos, here’s a promotional short that shows how Concord Adex managed to hoist that big bridge up between those two condo buildings by the Gardiner Expressway. (You’ll recognize the buildings once you start watching the video, trust us.)
- It can sometimes seem as though Toronto has a hard time handling its money, but really, we’re relatively fortunate. Detroit just became the biggest U.S. city ever to declare bankruptcy.
- More money trouble: Tim Hortons apparently has plenty of reason to regret its aggressive U.S. expansion.
