FIELD NOTES: Local urban interventionist Sean Martindale did not let last week’s snowstorm go to waste: he and photographer buddy Adam Krawesky spent Sunday afternoon shovelling snow in creative ways in the middle of the financial district. With the rising temperature and overnight rain, there was a credit meltdown—most of the credit had melted away by Monday morning. By Monday afternoon, the rest of the credit was destroyed and cleared off, not even getting the chance to completely melt on its own. Say what you will about the symbolism of the intervention, we like this new, literal approach to getting street cred.

Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
