Extra, Extra: ROM Changes, Mascot Hugs, and Summer Camp
Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.

The area in front of the ROM isn’t quite as nice as it could be, it’s true. Photo by Steve 16:9 , from the Torontoist Flickr Pool.
- The Royal Ontario Museum is reportedly planning on livening up its concrete frontage with some landscaped greenery. So, that should be nice.
- Also nice: the City is testing new sidewalk surfaces designed to be helpful to people who are visually impaired.
- The grand openings of the first few Canadian Target stores have been pushed back to April, but the retailer is saying some “soft openings” will happen in March.
- Here are pictures of Rachel McAdams being hugged by the Toronto Raptors’ mascot at a game, in what has been interpreted by the experts as a possible attempt to console her after her recent breakup with Michael Sheen.
- And here’s something that will probably cheer up anyone feeling downtrodden after this week’s grey skies and sleet: registration for City-run summer camps starts on Saturday.
