Extra, Extra: Disney World, Suzuki, and Boundary Issues
Every weekday’s end, we collect just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.

- Having dodged a third legal challenge to his mayoralty, Mayor Rob Ford is going to Disney World.
- But no matter where he goes, he can’t escape his reputation. Take this, for example. When David Suzuki’s people threatened to call 911 in order to persuade a Sun TV reporter to leave an Ottawa public-policy debate where Suzuki was speaking, MP Elizabeth May interceded with, reportedly, these words: “Only Rob Ford calls 911 on the media!” So true. (On a related note, why is David Suzuki kicking reporters out of his events? Not cool, Suzuki—even if it’s only Sun News.)
- Over on Church street, advocates are celebrating an obscure—but potentially important—victory: the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission is now proposing not to split the Church Wellesley Village into two ridings during the next round of electoral redistricting. The gaybourhood, it appears, will continue to vote as a bloc.
