WHERE: Sunnyside Park.

WHEN: January 1.

WHAT: For eight years in a row, for some reason, a bunch of people have voluntarily gathered on Toronto’s lakeshore for a New Year’s Day dip into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario. Similar events, known as Polar Bear Dips, take place all over the world, and many of them double as charity fundraisers. This particular one raised money for Habitat for Humanity.
