XMAS: Christmas with Hi and Lo features Kyra Millan and John Alcord as the eponymous musical couple, singing jazz and classical comedy numbers in a scripted cabaret by Alice Moran and other writers of Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody. There’s no dress code per se, but you are encouraged to “dress sharp!” Gallery 345 (345 Sorauren Avenue), 7:30 p.m., $30–$50.

MUSIC: The monthly Talkabout music showcase series often focuses on all-ages shows, but this one’s for the 19-plus crowd. Upstairs at Rancho Relaxo, there will be sets from Steinhoff And the Snapping Turtles (11:30 p.m.), Go Diana (10:30 p.m.), and MJ Cyr (9:30 p.m.). Rancho Relaxo (300 College Street), 9 p.m., $5.

CABARET: This week, Jeni Wall’s SINGular Sensation cabaret features a preview from Jay Davis’s upcoming Green Door Cabaret show, as well as performances by Next Stage Theatre Festival show creators Laura Anne Harris (Pitch Blond) and Julia Lederer (With Love and A Major Organ). Statler’s (487 Church Street), 9:30 p.m., PWYC.
