  • Now that we’ve got some snow on the ground, here’s a sobering reminder, courtesy of Windsor, Ontario: tobogganing can kill. Or, at any rate, slipping down the hill after you’re done tobogganing can.
  • Dinosaur Comics proprietor and Toronto native Ryan North is now responsible for what is being called Kickstarter’s “most successful publishing project.” It’s a choose-your-own-adventure version of Hamlet, and thanks to Kickstarter users it’s now funded to the tune of $580,000. The title is To Be or Not to Be: That is the Adventure, which is hilarious, as we hope the rest of it will be when it’s done and released.
  • For the holidays, citizen transit guru Steve Munro has cracked open his trove of streetcar photos from the ’60s and ’70s, taken when he was just a wee, camera-toting TTC fan. A bunch of them are on his blog.
