WHAT: Mayor Rob Ford is the defendant in a high-profile libel lawsuit that has been at court all this week, but that didn’t stop him from skipping out on his trial yesterday to go do his real job: that is, coach a high-school football team, the Don Bosco Eagles, through a match with the Northern Red Knights, a team from a school located near Mt. Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue. The mayor was rewarded with a shutout victory, meaning his team now has a spot in the Metro Bowl semifinals. In keeping with football tradition, Ford’s players dumped a container of what appeared to be orange Gatorade all over his head, football jacket, shirt, and tie. If you read this site on a daily basis, you’ve probably seen dozens of weird Ford photos, but these are seriously above and beyond.
UPDATE: 2:10 PM And here, after the jump, is an animated GIF of Ford getting the Gatorade dumped over his head. Because why not?
