One man charged with reckless discharge of a firearm in connection with Monday night's shooting, another with first degree murder in Tuesday's shooting.

The scene on Emmett Avenue after police responded to a call Tuesday night about a shooting there.

From the Toronto Police Services a few minutes ago, news of an arrest related to the Danzig Street shooting Monday night. Nahom Tsegazab, 19, has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, and has been remanded in custody. This does not bring matters to a close; police believe two shooters were involved, and the investigation is ongoing. The homicide squad is urgently appealing to the public to be in touch with any information by calling Detective Sergeant Graham Gibson at 416-808-7405, or sending an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477). They have also set up a web page to which photos or video footage can be uploaded.

Police have also laid charges in connection with another shooting this week. The body of Clayton Wright was found in a parking lot near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue on Tuesday night—news spread of that shooting during a memorial for one of Monday night’s victims. Winston Wright, 38, surrendered to police today and has been charged with first degree murder.

6:25 PM: The CBC is reporting that the accused in the Tuesday night shooting of Clayton Wright is the victim’s brother.

More to come.
