- Amidst all the Pride Week brouhaha, it can be easy easy to forget that Canada Day is on Sunday. (And so are fireworks!)
- Unless, of course, you happen to be Mayor Rob Ford…
- …whose excuse for skipping the Pride festivities each year, by the way, is looking flimsier and flimsier.
- Meanwhile, Pride continues to writhe in the throes of its perennial controversy: Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, the group whose involvement in the Pride Parade has repeatedly jeopardized Pride’s City funding, has been given the go-ahead, by Pride’s own dispute-resolution panel, to march this year.
