Supermoon! It was the word of the day on Saturday, it seemed, as the city gawked at the biggest, brightest moon sighting we’ll have until 2014. Above, a few favourite shots of the lunar lightshow from the Torontoist Flickr Pool.

Despite your desire to maintain a calm, ideology-free demeanour, you may feel like you’ve been drafted as a foot-soldier in the War on the Car ^TM against your will. Hey, at least now there’s a t-shirt.
Ernest Hemingway fans know that the writer spent some (very unhappy) time in Toronto; while here he was filing article for the Toronto Star. The paper’s set up a micro-site dedicated to Hemingway’s time here, and has a nice collection of archival and contemporary material.
