Introducing a new way to read our articles on your mobile device
Twenty years ago, everyone was really impressed by the fact that it was suddenly possible to read the news on the web. Now, the impressive thing is that a lot of us can read the web on our phones. That’s what we call progress.
Torontoist already has a great mobile-friendly site that many of you use on a daily basis. We appreciate that. But we recognize that some of you might be interested in other ways of checking out what we write. For that reason, we’re announcing a partnership with Pulse, makers of a smartphone and iPad app of the same name.
Pulse is an aggregator. It allows users to pick different news sources and read them in a single feed, using a simple interface. (Those of you who use RSS are probably already familiar with the concept.) Pulse differs from similar apps in that it will use your mobile device’s location-sensing abilities to automatically feed you city-specific content, now including Torontoist‘s.
We’re not insisting you use the app—by all means, continue enjoying Torontoist in any way that makes sense to you—but we wanted to make sure you knew it was there.
Thanks for reading.
