WHEN: Saturday, February 18

WHAT: Every year some fearless riders stud their tires with screws and voluntarily embrace the slipperiest of rides in the Ice Bike Races. Congratulations go to Sean Thompson, winner of the men’s final, and Linda Shin, who won the women’s final. Affectionately known as Icycle, the event is one of the highlights of the Toronto cycling calendar—and also includes some heartwarmingly goofy costumes. Behold the tutu’d and broom-helmeted riders in the gallery above.
