WHEN: Tuesday, February 21

WHAT: As the new Toronto South Detention Centre (or “superjail” as it’s sometimes known) nears completion, the complex it’s being built to replace—the old Mimico Correctional Centre—is being demolished. Photographer Chris Drost captured these images of the old jail in its half-destroyed state.
