Police Respond to a Distress Call at Rob Ford’s House

The Star is reporting that police cruisers have surrounded Rob Ford’s Etobicoke home in response to what is believed to have been a break-and-enter call. (Though the Sun says it’s a “threatening death investigation.”) Further details are scarce at the moment, but Doug Ford has described the incident to CP24 as a “breach of security,” similar to other incidents that have happened previously. Toronto police famously made another visit to the Ford household in October, when a This Hour Has 22 Minutes crew accosted the mayor. Two other recent police visits reportedly had to do with domestic calls placed by Ford’s family members, in response to the mayor’s own actions.

UPDATE, 2:55 PM 680 News is now reporting that police have arrested a 45 year-old man.
