TALK: Bulthaup Lectures presents a talk by architect and artist Didier Faustino tonight. Faustino’s work blurs the line between his two mediums while questioning the notion of public and private space. His talk is titled “Icon vs. Symbol” and will look at past projects, including “Double Happiness,” a billboard converted into a swing set as a response to materialism. John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, Room 103 (230 College Street), 6:30 p.m., FREE.

THEATRE: Obsidian Theatre has partnered with the Shaw Festival to bring 2002 Pulitzer Prize–winning play Topdog/Underdog to town until December 4. The Suzan-Lori Parks work is set in an apartment in New York and tells the story of a sibling rivalry between two brothers. When the play premiered this summer at the Shaw Festival, it was referred to as “one of the best productions in festival history.” Theatre Centre (100-1087 Queen Street West), 7 p.m., $15–$30.

THEATRE: Young People’s Theatre is bringing to the stage today a topical play, titled Would You Say The Name of This Play?*. The true story examines the life of Buddy, a black gay boy who endures teasing and marginalization but ultimately faces homophobia and racism and becomes a survivor. The play runs until December 3. Young People’s Theatre (165 Front Street East), 7 p.m., $15–$20.
