WHERE: Hearn Generating Station, at 440 Unwin Avenue in the Port Lands

WHEN: Afternoon of November 3

WHAT: Brave Torontoist photographer Christopher Drost got access to the Hearn Generating Station in the Port Lands, where real actual zombies are currently roaming. Resident Evil: Retribution actor Boris Kodjoe even tweeted a photo of them. Drost reports that crews have completely transformed the enormous plant into a Soviet military base, taking advantage of the building’s existing structures to make it ideal for filming. (For example, the Hearn’s control room, which is popular with urban explorers, got a healthy dusting of faux-snow and Cyrillic script.) Resident Evil: Retribution is due out next fall.
