Man Who Threatened TTC Employee Is Headed to Jail

Already on probation, 29-year-old Sean Goss uttered a death threat against a TTC employee this week, and now he will spend 45 days in jail. The incident happened November 8 at Finch Station, when a TTC employee saw Goss smoking in a non-smoking area and asked him to stop. Goss refused, then told the employee to leave him alone and said “I’ll get my gun and shoot you in the face,” before reaching into his backpack. The employee left the scene to notify Transit Control, and a short time later at Davisville Station, TTC transit enforcement officers and members of the Toronto Police Service arrested a man who was causing a disturbance on a subway train. The man matched the description provided by the employee who was threatened at Finch. They arrested Goss and charged him with uttering a death threat and breaching his probation. Goss pleaded guilty to both charges the next day, on November 9, and was immediately handed the 45-day sentence.
