Extra, Extra: A Leak-Proof Drake and a Peek at Runnymede’s Reno

  • Runnymede Station on the Bloor subway line has been undergoing renovations for a while now. First the bus platforms got a facelift, then the pedestrian walkways, and now the entrance. Torontoist photographer Christopher Drost snapped this shot on Friday afternoon, when passersby got their first glimpse of the new entrance. The TTC plans to have Runnymede’s concrete rehabilitation work completed this month.

The tag “Neo” has popped up around NYC since the ’80s, but police there think they’ve finally found the person behind it: a former NYPD patrolman.
  • How great is Drake? Besides being from Toronto, he’s also a talented rapper and actor and, on top of all that, he seems like a pretty cool dude. Upon hearing that his soon-to-be-released and politely titled album, Take Care, was leaked online over the weekend, Drake took it in stride and tweeted: “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it…and take care until next time.”
