—Krista Ford—niece of the mayor, daughter of councillor Doug, and team captain for the Toronto Triumph—on her Facebook wall, announcing her resignation from the team, which plays as part of the Lingerie Football League. She wasn’t the only one—several other team members resigned yesterday as well. The Star is reporting that the group of players decided to leave the team in protest of a managment decision to let four players and the defensive coach go. Also yesterday—presumably to fill all the gaps in the team’s roster given the many departures—the Triumph announced that tryouts would be held later this week.
