| FIELD NOTES: | Street art comes in many forms, but it’s not often that we see collage work. In the case of Hangover Nurse’s Horror Vacui, it’s not only a collage, but it’s a collage that’s evolved over several months, a process that will end tomorrow. Since it began, it’s undergone quite the transition, with ephemera being added, stripped away, and added some more. It will be officially unveiled as a finished piece on Saturday at 6:59 p.m. It’s no coincidence that this is occuring at the same time as Nuit Blanche. In fact, it is part of Les Rues des Refuses, the annual guide to the renegade art and events of Nuit Blanche, in which several artists (including yours truly) will be taking their art to the streets. |
Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
