Vandalist: “Good News”

| FIELD NOTES: | A controversial piece on the sidewalk just north of Queen’s Park Circle suggests that there’s more than justice involved in some court decisions. There are no clear indicators of what it’s referencing (besides Monopoly), but photographer Martin Reis’s Flickr page draws a connection between its message and the incident that led to Darcy Allan Sheppard’s death, which was two years ago this week. Whether or not that’s the case, one thing’s for sure: the person behind this piece was intent on sending a message. |
Once a week, Vandalist features some of the most interesting street art and graffiti from around Toronto. Find something great? Email [email protected].
