Transit Alert: Subway Service Disruptions This Weekend
In order to allow for planned track work, the TTC will be closing the subway this Saturday and Sunday from Bloor to Eglinton stations on the Yonge line. Shuttle bus service will be in effect, stopping at all stations along the closed portion of the subway line.
And for the transit geeks in the house, the details:
The TTC will continue construction on a new double cross-over section of subway track south of St. Clair Station on the Yonge-University-Spadina line [this weekend]. Once completed, the new cross-over will result in more efficient and reliable service, allowing subway trains to terminate at St. Clair Station in the event of a disruption to subway service.
