Butter is a movie about competitive butter carving (actually), which apparently is a thing people do. Shockingly, someone managed to steal the limelight from said dairy product for at least a bit of last night: U.S. distributor of the film, Harvey Weinstein, issued a statement calling on Michelle Bachmann to play ping-pong with him, and also hold his hand. (Perhaps a small consolation, if you think Toronto politics are getting bad, that things are even crazier elsewhere.) The tongue-in-cheek condemnation of the Tea Party had the audience whooping—damn Pinko film-goers.
