TIFF Review Roundup: September 16

TIFF day nine, and we're feelin' fine... about everything except these rhymes.

As we enter into the twilight time of TIFF it also begins to feel like the twilight zone. Movies begin to merge (Clooney’s in that cancer comedy with the guy who drives, right?) and sense of time and space collapse. So if you’re in a hallucinatory mood, go see Generation P () a psychedelic trip through the post-Soviet mindset. Far out, comrade. If you’re not digging the LSD vibe, but still feel like testing your limits, there’s You’re Next (), wherein Midnight Madness favourite Adam Wingard returns with a diabolical dark comedy that is as terrifying as it is hilarious. Alternately, if gratification gained through pain is your bag, then Machine Gun Preacher () is for you! Long, predictable, and about as morally complex as a cheese curd, suffering through Machine Gun Preacher will satisfy the greatest masochists among us.

But that’s only the tip of the proverbial iceberg! You can pick your poison here.

Want more TIFF? We’ve got you covered.
