Scene: Launching Toronto’s A.V. Club

WHAT: For the first time, the Onion is taking its print edition international. Already published in a number of local editions across the United States, Toronto now has its own installment of the satirical rag, packaged with sister publication the A.V. Club, which will (non-satirically) cover local arts and culture. It’s edited by Torontoist alum John Semley and published by TorStar, who toasted Toronto’s newest rag with drinks and silver spray-painted onion centrepieces last night.
