LEARN: Torontonians fortunately haven’t experienced drought conditions like those in Texas, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do our part to protect Toronto’s valuable watersheds. LEAF is hosting a workshop with a water resource engineer tonight, where you can learn how to use the rainwater from your house to benefit your yard and the environment. Register online in advance to save your spot. Victoria Village Public Library (184 Sloane Avenue), 6:30 p.m.–8 p.m., FREE.
MUSIC: Tonight you can check out two solo sets from newly minted Torontonians when Mike Evin and Language Arts’ Kristen Cudmore perform at Bread & Circus. Evin—a piano pop singer and songwriter—will play songs from his new album, Do You Feel The World?, and Cudmore will play material from her last album, Where Were You In The Wild, along with some new material. Bread & Circus (299 Augusta Avenue), 8:30 p.m., $10.
MUSIC: If you didn’t get a chance to see Sandman Viper Command at Edgefest or NXNE, you can make up for it tonight by swinging by the free release party for their new 7-inch, Rough Love. The band—named after a quote from the movie Outbreak—is made up of Rob Janson, Aaron Harvey, Dan Reardon, and Matt Meyer, all hailing from Burlington, Ontario. The Horseshoe Tavern (370 Queen Street West), 9 p.m., FREE.
