Earthquake Shakes Parts of Toronto
People around Toronto felt the effects of a magnitude 5.9 earthquake centered in the state of Virginia just before 2 p.m. Reports of shaking and creaking buildings quickly appeared on Twitter, soon followed by messages from others saying they hadn’t noticed any shaking. Torontoist hasn’t seen or heard reports of injuries thus far, but word is that people are evacuating the White House, Pentagon, and Capitol building.
