TTC Rider Charged with Pepper-Spraying Driver, Passengers

TTC According to a report on the Globe website, police allege a female passenger pepper-sprayed a TTC bus driver just after 9:30 this morning at the Downsview subway station. The driver had asked the woman about the transfer she presented. CTV News says that the woman allegedly also assaulted two male passengers. The men chased the woman as she tried to leave the scene, heading west on Sheppard Avenue; they restrained her until police arrived on scene to arrest her and laid numerous charges against her, including carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, assault with a weapon, and administering a noxious substance. The driver and the passengers received medical attention at the scene and the driver is “feeling better,” according to police.
