While we tested one of the view screens in the four new galleries under media preview last week at the Royal Ontario Museum, an elderly woman gave us her opinion on how the presentation compared to those of institutions elsewhere: “At last we’re finally catching up.”
The museum hopes that more user-friendly, interactive presentation methods will draw visitors into the newly opened Eaton Gallery of Rome, the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Gallery of Byzantium, the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Gallery of Rome and the Near East, and the Galleries of Africa: Nubia.
