Scene: Black Block Party
WHERE: King and Bay streets
WHEN: 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon
WHAT: “A Non-violent Act of Mourning for the Loss of Civil Liberties in Canada” was set to take over the downtown intersection at the close of the business day. It turned out to be kind of a bust, with only about 30 participants taking part. As the anniversary of G20 weekend gets underway though, this won’t be the last commemorative event in Toronto.
