Raptors Set to Announce New Head Coach Dwane Casey
SPORTS 680 News is reporting that the Toronto Raptors will introduce Dwane Casey as the team’s new head coach at a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m. today. Casey was head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves (2005–2007) and is now an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks. Surprising some, the Raptors haven’t gone with a big-name choice for their new coach, who will replace the outgoing Jay Triano. Triano’s contract was not renewed by the Raptors after a disappointing win-loss record during his two-and-a-half year tenure as coach.
