A little over a year ago, artist, DJ, promoter, queer activist, and community-builder Will Munro died of cancer far, far too young. In his honour, tonight the first Spirit of Will Munro Award will be given, to help a young Ontarian “establish an event, project, organization or business at the local level that uses the arts and provides youth-friendly, sustainable community growth for LGBTQ people.”
