Want to Join the TCHC Board?
The Toronto Community Housing Corporation, which lost its board in somewhat dramatic fashion earlier this month, is looking to fill those empty spots soon. A call for board member applications is up on the City’s site, along with all the necessary details and forms. To answer your first question, the chair receives a twenty-thousand-dollar annual retainer, while members get twenty-five-hundred dollars per year, plus five hundred per meeting, up to a maximum of ten thousand dollars per year. So, if you know a lot about social housing, or have experience in community development, business management, labour relations, or legal aid, this could be your big break. The deadline for applications is April 15.
