TTC Employee Charged With Assault
In a press release issued this morning, the Toronto Police Service announced that a TTC employee has been charged with assault for alleged actions that took place on a bus recently. It is alleged that the employee (believed to be a bus driver on his way to his own vehicle to start his shift) “grabbed [a] man by the shoulder and pushed him against a pole” in an attempt to get him to move back on a crowded bus. He surrendered to police yesterday, has been released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
