There are all kinds of ways to while away the time waiting for a subway delay to clear: books, magazines, Angry Birds, or giving your seatmates imaginary makeovers can all do the trick. One group of TTC riders lucked out recently though (well, depending on your musical taste, perhaps). A friendly mustachioed gentleman broke out his violin, and put on an impromptu concert to help everyone pass a particularly long subway delay yesterday evening, between about 5 and 6:30 p.m. He finished his last piece to applause as the subway finally pulled into Eglinton Station.
You can listen to more subway violining here and here.
