  • TSN has snagged the rights to broadcast Major League Soccer games away from the CBC and Rogers, which will likely get everyone complimenting/complaining about assorted soccer commentators fairly soon. According to the Globe, “Included in the deal are rights to a weekly game featuring either Toronto or Vancouver and the MLS postseason.”
  • This has been a big month for radio news. CKLN is being shuttered, though they are appealing, and Flow 93.5 is getting used to the new bosses at CHUM. Meanwhile, the CRTC is gearing up for a final decision on whether Toronto will get its first Caribbean station.
  • First, you helped name the park now known as Sherbourne Common. Then the park’s skating rink opened, though it had some startup glitches. Now, happily, the ice is clear and the skating is good.
