Extra Extra: The SkyDome and Plastic Bags, in Video
Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.
- SkyDome (not Rogers Centre!) nostalgia tripping. Above is a video posted yesterday by Retrontario, impressively titled “The Shape of Things to Come.” Also in SkyDome-related fun, another video—this one a time-lapse showing two-and-a-half years of construction in two-and-a-half minutes.
- Possibly our favourite Canadian radio series, The Age of Persuasion, is now available as a podcast.
- The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has a new website that is equal parts icky and important: Bedbugsinfo.ca has just been launched to help get the word out about bed bug prevention, and to share tips on what to do if you or someone you know finds bed bugs.
- Traffic and transportation planning are hot topics right now in Toronto. For some handy background reading, Andrew Coyne has a good overview of road pricing at Maclean’s.
