Heroes and Villains 2010: Villains: Pests

Torontoist is ending the year by naming our Heroes and Villains of 2010—Toronto’s very best and very worst people, places, and things over the past twelve months. This week, it’s the Villains‘ turn. Today, we scowl at the pests: the things that buzzed around Toronto’s heads this year, sometimes literally.

201012-heroesandvillains-villain-bedbugs.jpg   Bedbugs, creepy-crawly home invaders who just won’t die.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-greenroom.jpg   The Green Room, the legendarily gross Annex alleyway dive that finally got closed for good.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-BloorStreetConstruction.jpg   Bloor Street Construction, one big Mink Mile mess.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-rude-ttc.jpg   Rude TTC Riders, the door-rushing, backpack-wearing bane of Toronto’s commuting existence.
kieffer_final.jpg   Jason Kieffer, the cartoonist behind a “nasty little book” about Cabbagetown’s street people.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-chrisbosh.jpg   Chris Bosh, who broke our hearts and won’t stop rubbing our faces in the pieces.

We’re revealing more Villains daily, until December 17. From December 20 to 24, it’s the Heroes‘ turn, and, from December 27 to 30, you can vote for Toronto’s Superhero and Supervillain of the year.
