Heroes and Villains 2010: Villains: Thought Crimes

201012-heroesandvillains-THOUGHTCRIMES.jpg
Torontoist is ending the year by naming our Heroes and Villains of 2010—Toronto’s very best and very worst people, places, and things over the past twelve months. Today: thought crimes, because sometimes the most dangerous Villains are the ones you can’t see.

201012-heroesandvillains-villain-subway-fetish.jpg   Subway fetishism, because as much as we love subways, they’re not what we need.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-roadrage.jpg   Road rage, whether it’s cyclists or drivers doing the raging.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-racialstereotypes.jpeg   Racial stereotyping, because if diversity’s our strength, we’ve still got one big weakness.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-blamingpedestrians.jpg   Blaming pedestrians, who are rarely at fault when they’re hit by cars—but who usually get blamed, and targeted, for it anyway.
201012-heroesandvillains-villain-torontohate.jpg   Dislove of Toronto, because, unless we missed it, Toronto is still pretty great.

We’re revealing more Villains daily, until December 17. From December 20 to 24, it’s the Heroes‘ turn, and, from December 27 to 30, you can vote for Toronto’s Superhero and Supervillain of the year.
